The Husqvarna Automower 308V is a next-generation wire-free robotic lawn mower designed for suburban lawns up to 800 m². It combines Husqvarna’s proven Automower technology with AI Vision, satellite-based navigation and flexible virtual boundaries, giving Adelaide homeowners a cleaner, smarter and more convenient way to maintain their lawn.

For homes across the United States, the 308V is an ideal choice for medium-sized residential lawns where customers want a neat, consistent finish without installing a traditional boundary wire. The mower is controlled through the Automower Connect app, where you can create work areas, adjust schedules, add temporary stay-out zones and choose mowing patterns.

AI Vision technology

The built-in camera uses AI to detect objects on the lawn and help the mower avoid collisions. This is especially useful in real backyards where toys, garden items, balls or other objects may occasionally be left on the grass.

AI Vision also supports mowing in areas where satellite signal may be weaker. As long as the mower can see grass, it can continue mowing more confidently in areas where traditional satellite-only systems may struggle.

Wire-free installation with virtual boundaries

The Automower 308V uses virtual boundaries instead of a physical perimeter wire. The setup is managed through the Automower Connect app, allowing you to create custom work areas and temporary stay-out zones directly from your phone.

This makes it easier to adjust the mowing area later if your lawn layout changes, if you add garden beds, or if you need to protect a newly seeded section of lawn.

Mowing patterns for a better-looking lawn

The 308V allows you to choose between systematic mowing patterns such as stripes, checkerboard and triangle patterns. For a softer carpet-like finish, you can also use irregular mowing mode.

Wi-Fi and connectivity requirements

For wire-free operation, the Automower 308V requires Wi-Fi coverage across the full lawn area. This can usually be checked with a smartphone before installation. If the Wi-Fi signal is not strong enough in some parts of the lawn, it may be improved with a better router position, a Wi-Fi extender, or a mesh Wi-Fi system with 2.4 GHz enabled.

Alternative accessories may also be available, including the Automower Connect Kit for cellular connectivity or the Husqvarna EPOS RS1 Reference Station for a stand-alone solution with even higher positioning accuracy. These accessories can be supplied and installed by an authorised Husqvarna dealer.
